What is Neuro Physio?

​

Neuro Physiotherapists assess and treat patients with a neurological injury or condition, resulting from damage to the brain, spinal cord or extremities of the body. Many neuro patients experience weakness in their limbs or body. The aims of treatment is to overcome motor deficits in order to improve active movement and function. This is done through specialist handling and treatment in order to improve the efficiency of movement and functional potential.

 

Each ​treatment plan in neuro physiotherapy is personalised and based on the individual's specific needs, goals, and the severity of their condition. Neuro physiotherapists assess the patient's functional abilities and limitations, allowing them to create targeted rehabilitation that promotes recovery and independence.
